NFL Draft Betting Predictions 2024 | Best Bets & Odds

NFL Draft predictions and betting odds

There is nothing like some early NFL Draft predictions. Well, it’s actually not that early with the Draft coming in a few weeks, but we are right on time to find some value around some of these bets.

The 2021 NFL draft will look a lot more like a standard NFL Draft compared to last year’s nearly entirely virtual event. It will have fans, and plenty of players will be on-site in Cleveland.

The first round starts on Thursday, April 29, and the rest will go on all weekend.

This NFL Draft preview won’t hit any mock draft, but will have some of the best bets available at the top NFL sportsbooks we recommend.

Who Will Be The 3rd Pick Overall In The Draft?

Player Odds At

Mac Jones -190
Justin Fields +120
Trey Lance +500
Zach Wilson +2500

We know Trevor Lawrence will go to Jacksonville with the first overall pick.

It’s pretty much a given that Zach Wilson will go to the NY Jets with the second. Although if there is a team who can mess this up, it is the Jets.

The 49ers traded three first-round picks for the chance to select their third-best prospect in this year’s draft.

That’s a lot of picks, if you ask me, but that’s a discussion for another day.

Either way, the San Francisco 49ers watched Mac Jones’ pro day before going to Justin Fields’. Jones didn’t blow anybody away, as you can see in the video below.

Justin Fields organized a second pro day so 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan can see him live. In the first one, Field dropped bombs like this one:

San Francisco needs to think about this pick carefully. They traded away much of their future to select their next QB.

The Niners choosing Mac Jones is not a certainty, which means the value is all on Fields.

If you can grab him at +120, you will be getting a lot of value on a QB that might change the 49ers’ mind just with a live throwing exercise.

  • Bet: Justin Fields +120

Trey Lance Selected At What Number?

Under 6½ Selection Number -120

With all the talk going between Justin Fields, Mac Jones, Trevor Lawrence, and Zach Wilson, Trey Lance seems the forgotten name of the top 5 QBs in the 2021 draft.

Two things are going against Lance. First, he played for North Dakota State.

This wasn’t an excuse for the Philadelphia Eagles when they selected QB Carson Wentz in 2016, but the Bison still are in a subdivision level.

The second, and perhaps the most important, is he didn’t play in 2020.

It’s not his fault the season got canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it leaves too many questions to answer. Meaning there isn’t enough tape for scouts to evaluate his potential.

With the Jaguars, Jets, and Niners selecting other QBs, not name Lance, the following three teams are franchises without a QB need.

Cincinnati and Miami have their QBs of the future, while Atlanta still thinks Matt Ryan has something in the tank.

Even if Atlanta selects a QB with the 4th overall pick thinking about the next ten years, Trey Lance seems off their radar.

Unless someone goes crazy and trade-up, Lance should still be on the board past the 6th pick.

  • Bet: Trey Lance Over 6½ Selection Number -120

Ja’Maar Chase Selected At What Number?

Under 6.5 Selection Number -190 Sportsbetting Sportsbook
Over 6.5 Selection Number +145

Sometimes there is no reason to chase value. Just bet a winner when you see it, without looking at the price.

Where Ja’Maar Chase will get selected is one of those situations. He will be the first wideout picked, and teams like Atlanta, Cincinnati, or Miami won’t pass on him.

The Dolphins, in particular, have both an interest and need for a player of his caliber.

Just grab Chase to go in the first six picks on the draft.

  • Bet: Ja’Maar Chase Under 6.5 Selection Number -190
