Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs are both from Alabama. We got used to seeing Bama sending first-round talents on the defensive side, but not as much on offense. That alone should you tell you how out of the ordinary these two players are.

Yet, CeeDee Lamb is the obvious choice here. Coaches have been glowing about this guy for months.

In 2019, CeeDee was unstoppable with 65 catches, 1327 yards, and 14 touchdowns. The most impressive thing about him is that he can be a possession wideout because he jumps high and knows how to use his body, but also is incredibly fast in the open field.

The same thing can be said about Jerry Jeudy, but Lamb’s hands are like have drawn comparisons to the new-Arizona Cardinal, wide receiver, DeAndre Hopkins. His ability to catch everything separates him from the rest.

Lamb’s +105 odd are good enough to put a substantial amount on him being the first wideout picked in the draft.

The oddsmakers at BetOnline have a solid feeling Georgia’s tailback D’Andre Swift is going to be the first running back selected in the 2020 NFL draft. We need to lay down $145 to win $100 with Swift at -145.

Running backs are not a priority in the NFL’s current landscape. I don’t expect any team to jump the gun to pick a position with less and less value every year.

But D’Andre Swift has one thing going his way over the rest of the running backs. Georgia didn’t beat him to the ground. In the last two years, he carried the ball 359 times combined. Jonathan Taylor, in contrast, took the ball 627 times during the same span.

NFL teams need a running back with fresh legs. The coaches want tailbacks who can produce early on a rookie contract. Swift’s fresh legs are an advantage.

Taylor Has A Clear Edge

However, if we go by numbers alone, Taylor has a clear edge. Jonathan ran for over 2000 yards, not once, but twice in three years with the Badgers. He’s a proven commodity, who scored 50 rushing touchdowns in three years at Wisconsin.

D’Andre Swift earned all the buzz around him, but production-wise Jonathan Taylor is the stud of the class. Instead of laying down $145 for Swift, I rather take a shot at Taylor at +160.

We feel NFL scouts and general managers know a whole lot more than us. Most of the time, it is true, but not all the time.

They look at basic stuff just like we do, and Jonathan Taylor’s name stands out with those huge numbers.
