It was quite the weekend of basketball with the Elite Eight ending on Sunday evening, and the Final Four 2019 is now set. As of today, the futures for the tournament at SportsBetting.ag look like this:
Villanova is the firm favorite and the only No. 1 seed left in the tournament. Michigan sits at +260 to take down the title after defeating Florida State, in a close, but controversial, 58-54 victory. Kansas took Duke to overtime and upset the Blue Devils while covering the +3.5 spread. Loyola-Chicago is the true Cinderella of this tournament but didn’t look like an underdog after their win against Kansas St where they blew out the Wildcats, by a score of 78-62.

Michigan opened at -5.5 but have moved to -5 at most sportsbooks with -110 vig or greater on the Wolverines. This is quite the mismatch when we look at the competition, but with the way Loyola has played this tournament, it’s hard to say they can’t upset Michigan.
Bettors have favored Michigan slightly, but tickets right about now are even. However, it would surprise us if this one didn’t end at -5.5 or higher in favor of Michigan. I think Sister Jean and Loyola’s run may come to an end and possibly in blowout fashion. It’s early, but we like the Wolverines and the points.

Kansas vs. Villanova – Early Odds Preview
Nova opened at -5 and has moved to -5.5 with standard -110 vigorish at most sportsbooks as of this writing. Bettors have taken to the Jayhawks early on, with about 60 percent of bets coming in on Kansas. However, the odds have moved in the Wildcats favor.
Kansas rallied late to beat a Duke team that kept making mistake after mistake defensively. Villanova has shown how good of a team they are his tournament; all while being doubted as a true No. 1 seed coming into the Big Dance. I lean towards Villanova in this one.
