Ohio State vs. Alabama Quick Betting Odds Breakdown

Ohio State +245 to Win Straight Up

The Buckeyes were +7.5 and +250 ML to beat Clemson in the semifinals. A similar scenario to the one facing next Monday.

While the world was ready to crown Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence before he moves to the NFL, the Buckeyes wanted none of that and came out swinging.

QB Justin Fields had a field day by throwing six touchdown passes and only six incompletions.

Fields suffered a ribs injury and looked uncomfortable throwing the football in the second quarter against Clemson.

Watch the hit below. But even with the injury, he played close to a perfect game against one of the nation’s best teams.

Coach Ryan Day said Fields will be ready for the National Championship game, but it’s fair to wonder how healthy he will be. Ohio State has given no details about the injury.

But the Buckeyes success against Clemson was not solely on Fields. Running back Trey Sermon recorded 524 rushing yards in the last two games, the most in a two-game stretch by an OSU player in history.

Ohio State is 7-0 this season after they started the season late in October. Ryan Day will coach in his first National Championship game.

Alabama -290 To Win Straight Up

The Tide finished the season with a 10-0 record against SEC competition for the first time in school history.

Bama won each of those games by 15 points or more, averaging 48.2 points per game, the nation’s second-best number.

Their offense recorded the 5th most passing yards this season, averaging 349.3 yards per game.

All while their best weapon WR Jaylen Waddle suffered a season-ending injury early in the year.

The guy to focus on is WR Devonta Smith, who is likely to be the first wideout selected in the 2021 NFL draft.

Smith is also the huge favorite to win the Heisman Trophy after posting 1641 yards and 20 TDs.

Alabama beat Notre Dame 31-14 in the College Football semifinals with 130 yards and 3 TDs by Devonta Smith.

No team has stopped him all year. He’s too fast and smooth.

Also, if the experience is something you value, keep in mind Nick Saban is 6-2 in National Championship games. His two losses came against Clemson.

Ohio State vs. Alabama Betting Prediction

Alabama has an explosive offense, but they will face a team that can match them point by point. Justin Fields is the better quarterback when you compare him to Mac Jones.

Alabama’s Jones has had a fantastic season, but as a pure passer, Fields is better.

Now, Alabama bleeds when opponents run against them. Ohio State will commit to running all game while using Fields arm to take advantage of play-action.

It should be a lot of fun. Ohio State +7.5 should be the play, and over 75 is also a good bet.
