Every year, offensive players become sexier for General Managers. In the 2021 NFL draft, 18 offensive players alone were selected in the first round, including five quarterbacks.
It seems like rookies are more prepared to start in the NFL more than ever. Three of them, Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, and Mac Jones, will start as QB1 right from the get-go.
Jones, in particular, beat former NFL MVP, Cam Newton, for the starting job.
All this makes betting on the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award one of the most enjoyable future bets during the football season.
Let’s look at the best odds to win the prize in the 2021 season.

The Favorite: Trevor Lawrence +350
Trevor Lawrence is the clear favorite to win it in 2021. He’s what many experts consider a football prodigy.
Since high school, he has been that way, and now it’s time to show he can do it at the highest level.
The problem is that if you are a number one overall pick in the NFL, your team is likely to be in total reconstruction.
That’s precisely what’s happening with Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Lawrence is under a lousy offensive line as well. That’s never a good deal when you need to take care of the future of the franchise.
There are too many issues with the Jaguars to think Lawrence will be successful in 2021.
This is not an indictment about his entire career. The Jags can eventually protect him and give him weapons, but it won’t be this year.
The Value Pick: Kyle Pitts +1000
New Falcons’ tight end Kyle Pitts is my value pick for Offensive Rookie of the Year. He’s a freak of nature with the talent to make an impact right from the start.
Atlanta’s offense will be so much better under head coach Arthur Smith, especially in the passing game.
With WR Julio Jones now in the Tennessee Titans, they need a significant number one receiver. Pitts can be that guy playing between the numbers.
He was the first tight end ever selected inside the top 5 in the NFL draft.
That alone should tell you he’s not an ordinary player. In fact, the total contrary. He’s a beast waiting to be unleashed.
I can see Pitts reaching over 1000 yards during his first season and being a complete nightmare for defenses. At 10/1, he’s a valuable bet I can’t pass on.
The Longshot: Javonte Williams +1600
Every rumor coming out of Denver is that RB Javonte Williams is a stud and that he will lead the team’s backfield sooner rather than later.
I have a hard time picking a running back to win any award, but he could be a game-changer for an offense that will rely primarily on running the football.
I like QB Teddy Bridgewater, but he needs help, and Javonte Williams could be that guy.
If the Broncos reach or get close to the playoffs, the running game should have a lot to do with it.
At 16/1 odds, Javonte Williams is an interesting longshot.
