2019 Greenbrier Classic Golf Betting Odds And Preview

Greenbrier Classic Golf Tournament Betting Odds Preview

The first stop of the 2020 PGA Tour will be at the Greenbrier Classic, or as it’s officially known the Military Tribute at The Greenbrier. It is the first of 49 official events in the schedule.

The 2020 PGA Tour will be the 105th season, and it opens weeks after Rory McIlroy won the FedEx Cup in the 2018-19 season.

Betting Favorites To Win The Greenbrier Classic

Bryson DeChambeau +1200

Seeded 12th in the world ranking, Bryson DeChambeau enters the Greenbrier Classic as the best-ranked player in the tournament. The American is also the favorite listed 12/1 with an 8% implied probability to win.

DeChambeau is young, but he has five PGA Tour wins on his resume and one on the European tour. During the last Greenbrier Classic, he finished in 14th place with eight under par. His 12th place at the FedEx Cup playoff gives the status of the best player in the tournament.

Bryson DeChambeau is also the favorite to finish the first round as the leader, listed at +2500 at MyBookie.ag.

Viktor Hovland +1600

The Norwegian Viktor Hovland is considered by many the sleeper name for the 2019-2020 season. Hovland is only 21-years old without a win inside the PGA Tour yet. Most experts are waiting for Viktor to take the next step sooner rather than later.

Hovland’s best result in his young career is a 4th place at the Wyndham Championship played in April. He did miss the cut the last two times he was on the course at the Mayakoba Golf Classic and the Farmers Insurance Open; so be aware of it.

Jason Kokrak +1600

Amongst the favorites, Jason Kokrak is the one with the most experience, but that means nothing without a PGA win on his resume. Kokrak turned professional in 2008 and has been around the best tournaments in the world, but he hasn’t proved he can get the job done.

In 2019 Kokrak played 24 tournaments, and his best result was a second-place at the Valspar Championship. Five times he finished inside the top-10 and missed the cut just once at the Travelers Championship.

If you come across a prop bet about him “making the cut,” know he made it 23 of 24 times in 2019.
