The 118th U.S. Open Championship will be held at the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York. The club is east of New York City. The US Open is just behind the Masters when it comes to the year’s most popular majors and most-bet golf events. The field will have the usual suspects competing for Major glory, but will also have over 150 golfers from around the world looking to make their mark in Southampton in June.

General US Open Information

The US Open Golf Championship will be held at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club from June 10th to the 16th, 2019. The tournament will begin on a Monday (June 11) and will end on Sunday, June 18. Play on most days will begin at 9 AM EST. The nationally televised parts of the US Open will be broadcasted on the FOX family of networks, which includes FS1, FOX, and FOX Deportes. Additional streaming for specific golfers will be available on USOpen.com.

There will be a total of 156 golfers that will compete for the title at Pebble Beach Golf Links. The total purse for this year’s US Open has not been decided yet, but it will likely largely surpass last year’s $12 million dollar prize pool, of the 2017 US Open, held at Erin Hills Golf Club in Erin, Wisconsin. Types of Bets During the US Open Tournament

If you’re betting on the Masters, you’ll notice an increase in markets available as a golf bettor and in many cases, an increase in betting limits. The most common golf bet will be futures and outrights on which golfer will win the tournament, but there are a ton of other options, as well.

There is the typical 2 and 3-ball betting, but also which golfers will make the cut, finish in the top 10 or the top 20 and so on. Also, don’t forget about live betting, which is ramped up for the US Open and other prominent golf tournaments.

SportsBetting.ag is our favorite option for sports bettors in the United States that wish to bet on the US Open and other golf events. They have betting limits higher than other sites on golf and a huge list of bets that include US open tournament outrights and propositions. Payouts are fast and new players will receive a 50% Bonus up to $1,000 on their first deposit.

We’re not a fan of “betting trends” for lots of reasons. There is no trend each year that bettors should follow when it comes to the US Open. It’s played at different clubs each year with a different set of golfers and odds. Understanding the golfers and course, along with shopping for the best odds will offer much more value than some meaningless trend.
