Heritage Sports Review

Heritage Sports is one of the most trusted sites in the offshore betting industry. Their history goes back to 1994 and considered one of the pioneers of online betting. They’re currently one of the largest sportsbooks operating in the US market. In August 2011, Heritage acquired the US player base of The Greek Sportsbook and sister sportsbook, Bet Jamaica. They picked up this large number of clients without issue and have grown larger.

Heritage was an invite-only sportsbook for some years but made the move to accept new customers in recent years. They have an extensive service staff at their headquarters, in Besides Costa Rica. Besides an online sportsbook, they offer an online racebook and casino.

A Personal Opinion on Heritage Sports

What We Don’t Like About Heritage

There are few negatives to Heritage. One is the fact that they are in the recreational category. This happened after lowering their maximum betting limits a few years ago. The sportsbook focuses on North American sports. Betting limits and markets being small for international sports and smaller markets. Their total list of markets (U.S. sports included) doesn’t compare to that of 5Dimes, Bovada, or BetOnline.

What Bettors Are Saying About Heritage Sports

Heritage doesn’t have many negative reviews. They do a lot of cold-calling, however. Customers may get a call once a week from them promoting a particular event or offering a bonus. It’s annoying, but not that big of a deal.

Heritage Sportsbook Review – Deposits and Withdrawals

B

Lots of Deposit Options

The sportsbook has an excellent stable of deposit options for players. There are also no fees attached to most options, including peer-to-peer transfers and bank wires if bettors deposit $300 or more. Their withdrawal options are also above average. Deposits are available via debit and credit cards from both Visa and MasterCard. These deposits are instant and come with no fees. Players will have a maximum amount of $500 on their first card deposit.

With Peer-to-peer transfers done through Western Union or MoneyGram. These come with around a $2,000 max, depending on the method. As we mentioned above, deposits over $300 have their fees covered. Potential customers can also deposit via bank wire and cashier’s check. These will take around a week to clear but allow for larger deposit amounts. There is no maximum deposit via bank wire or cashier’s check.

Fast Payouts and Bitcoin Withdrawals

The crypto-currency bitcoin is also an option. Deposits and withdrawals are both free when using bitcoin. There are no fees for the sportsbook to cover or on the players’ side. Heritage makes BTC simple. The maximum amount available for deposit and withdrawal per transaction is $10,000. Aside from BTC, Heritage has the payout options of checks, bank wires and person-to-person transfer via MoneyGram and Western Union.

Checks

Checks process within three weeks, (10-15 business days) but usually reach players much faster. Most checks are going out to players in under two weeks or less. Checks process up to $3,000 and come with a $50 fee per check, regardless of the amount.

Bank Wires

Bank wires are not offered to all players, but some will find this option in their account. They process in 3-7 business days for up to $10,000. They come with a $75 fee per wire.

Person-to-Person

Person-to-person transfers process in 24-36 hours. Players can receive up to $799 using this method. Fees vary depending on the amount sent and the service used.

Heritage Sports Sportsbook Tip

Be sure to sign up for Heritage’s reduced juice bonus rather than their freeplay bonus. Reduce juice is worth much more in the long run. Their odds are exceptionally soft and adding the reduced juice makes Heritage one of the best places to bet online.

Heritage Sports Bonuses

Heritage has two different bonus options for players when they’re signing up. Both options offer a form of reduced juice and other promotions.

-108 Reduced Juice and Cash Back

The first option is a reduced juice – cash back program. It offers base -108 pricing on sides and totals on major markets. This includes free weekly payouts requested on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Several other promotions, such as, deposit bonuses and a 0.8 percent cash back rebate on both winning and losing bets.

-105 Reduced Juice

The second is -105 reduced juice on major sides and totals. Players will also receive free weekly payouts, the same as the other option. For deposits of $300 or more, players get reimbursed for any deposit fees. The -105 reduce program offers an 8% casino and 4% racebook monthly rebate, but that doesn’t do us much good as sports bettors. Those that accept the -105 pricing most likely won’t receive a deposit bonus.

Picking the Best Bonus

It might seem like the reduced juice – cash back program seems like the best choice. However, the difference between -108 pricing and a cash back program still doesn’t beat -105 pricing in the long run. The benefits of reduced juice at -105 pricing if you’re a profitable sports bettor is worth far more than a small deposit bonus and a 0.8 percent cash back rebate.

Heritage Sports Review Highlights

Betting Markets and Odds

Heritage boasts some of the most impressive wagering software and interface we’ve seen in the US market. They may have the best betting product around. As far as bet types, they don’t disappoint there either. Sides, totals, moneylines, along with quarter and halftime bets are available for just about every market. Bettors will be able to buy points, bet parlays, teasers, pleasers, if-bets, reverses, and will have a large selection of parlays and teasers. There are teasers available up to 15 teams and points range from 4 to 21 points.

Heritage also has some incredibly unique markets. They have something called “Almost Parlays” where players can still win a portion of their wager if they lose on a leg of the parlay. Customizable teasers allow players to choose a different amount of points for each game in their teaser. No other offshore site offers these markets. Live betting options for Heritage are excellent. They have an awesome interface to begin with and offer live betting on several sports, including football, basketball, hockey, baseball, soccer and tennis.

The true positive is in their live betting markets, however. They go far beyond the typically adjusted point spread and totals and have loads of propositions for their betting menu. Heritage is only second to Bovada concerning live betting opportunities and markets. Betting odds are above average, but not elite, at Heritage. They offer the market standard or better for parlays, teasers, and pleasers. Their markets are heavily weighted towards public betting action, making them a great sportsbook to target underdogs in most major sports.

Wagering Limits

Heritage is sort of a middle ground between a recreational sportsbook and a professional level sportsbook, but they are definitely in the former category. They don’t have massive betting limits like Bookmaker, but they will take a bit more action compared to sites like GTBets and Top Bet.

NFL sides cap at $3,000 and totals for the sport have a maximum bet of $2,000. Football moneylines have a max bet of $2,000 as well. Other sports will have lower maximums. For instance, NBA games have a max bet of $2,000 on sides and $1,000 totals.

Some sports like hockey, baseball, and college basketball have a max bet of $1,000 on sides. More obscure sports and particular proposition markets can have max bets of $500 or less. Much of Heritage’s limits are market and bet type dependent. Players may also contact support if they wish to increase their limits on a wager.

Is Heritage Sports Legit? – One of the Best Sportsbooks

Yes, Heritage Sports is a legit sports betting site. You should treat Heritage Sports as a top choice in the US-facing sportsbook industry. Not as popular as other big players in the market because they were invite-only for the past few years, but they are just as deserving of praise. It’s rare that bettors can find a site with reduced juice, competitive markets, odds, and a strong payment history going back 20 years. They’re a jewel in this market and go-to option for sports bettors based in the United States.
